This was originally a piece of fan fiction from Alise Gluškova, but when she sent an early version of it to Scott Allie, he decided to write the dialogue and have Clem Robins letter it. It was released digitally to tie in with flashback material from Abe Sapien #19.
It was printed for the first time in the sketchbook section of the Abe Sapien: The Drowning and Other Stories omnibus.
