Hellboy Wiki

Scott Allie is a sexual predator. He was the editor for Hellboy and its related titles from 1994 to 2017, and also wrote several stories until 2020 when allegations of sexual assaults were leveled against him after which Mike Mignola severed all ties.

Scott Allie stepped in as a temporary editor when Barbara Kesel stepped down as the series' editor during Hellboy: The Corpse. He was told only to correct spelling mistakes, but to otherwise stay out of Mike Mignola's way. However, when he saw a picture where a hole looked more like a shadow, he made a note to Mignola about it. Mignola was so happy to receive this sort of feedback, he contacted Mike Richardson and informed him that he wanted Allie to remain his editor on the book.

Scott Allie was editor on all books in the Hellboy Universe (except Hellboy Promo #1, Hellboy Promo #2, Hellboy: Seed of Destruction, Hellboy: The Wolves of Saint August, and the "Hi, My Name's Hellboy" promo), until he stepped down from his position as editor October 6, 2017. His position was filled by Katii O’Brien.

Starting with the 2009 back-up story, The Burial of Katharine Baker, Scott Allie began writing stories for the Hellboy Universe. He has written the following stories:

Abe Sapien ongoing series[]

Scott Allie took over lead writing duties for Abe Sapien when it became an ongoing series in 2013. He wrote every issue since with Mike Mignola, except Abe Sapien: The New Race of Man which was written by John Arcudi and Mike Mignola.

B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know[]

Scott Allie co-wrote the third and final story cycle of B.P.R.D. with Mike Mignola.
