The Knights of October were a group that are the German equivalent to the Knight's Templar or Knights of Malta. After the First World War they swore that they'd make Germany great and win the next war. A lot of their Teutonic ideology helped formed the Nazi Party.
After World War II, the Knights resurfaced and kidnapped retired superohero Dr. Ted Knight aka Star Man. Their base of operations was located in San Diablo, South America. The Knights hoped to use Ted Knight's knowledge of the stars to bring forth an Elder God, Suggor Yogeroth from a specific star to Earth. Using drugs they manipulated Knight's mind to help them construct a machine that would make their god manifest on Earth. However Hellboy and Jack Knight arrived and rescued the good doctor and managed to interrupt the machine, destroy them and the creature.[1]
