Hellboy: The Bones of Giants is the second Hellboy novel, based on the comic book series by Mike Mignola.

Story Chronology[]
The story takes place several decades after Hellboy's first encounter with Edmond Aickman in King Vold. The novel includes references to Trevor Bruttenholm's death, which would mean it takes place after May 1994. Hellboy: The Companion places it in August 1999. However, this was changed for the comic book adaptation, which moved the story to earlier in the timeline, to February 1988.
