Abe Sapien: Star of the B.P.R.D. is a non-canonical story published in Hellboy: Weird Tales #4. Tom Sniegoski wrote the story while Ovi Nedelcu did the art.
Plot Synopsis[]
Hellboy is dispatched to investigate the haunting of the Ravenchild Estate. Upon arrival his ghost detection equipment malfunctions forcing him to investigate the estate using only his senses. The estate is shown to be full of ghost and poltergeists but Hellboy is unable to see them and since they remain silent he is unaware of their presence. After searching the entire estate he departs believing the reports of it being haunted to be false. Upon exiting the estate it is revealed that one of ghosts has secretly attached a "Kick Me" sign to Hellboy's back.
